Les chercheurs du COM publient dans la revue Nature Le projet international KEOPS avait pour objectif de mieux comprendre le rôle de l’océan austral dans l’absorption du CO2 atmosphérique. L’objectif principal était de savoir si l’addition de petites quantités de fer dans l’océan de surface était capable de modifier de manière importante la pompe biologique. La réponse est clairement oui. C’est ce résultat qui vient d’être publié dans la revue Nature (Blain et al., Nature, 26 avril 2006). (...)
